Funded in part by English Heritage this is continuation of repairs and consolidation to the castle remains.
If you were wondering where all the scaffold has gone......We are providing ongoing advise and interpretation as areas of the construction are inspected and repaired. We have tackled an unstable tower parapet where a tree had taken root forcing the masonry apart. To address this temporary support to the area concerned was required to enable safe working access and appropriate works.
